The MATCH project has successfully concluded its 4th call for doctoral applications, setting a record in participation. With a total of 96 applications received, this was the highest number of all calls so far, reflecting the growing visibility and appeal of the project.
This call also marked a positive shift in gender diversity, with female applicants representing 32.3% of the total submissions. Candidates came from 18 different countries, maintaining a similar level of international representation to previous calls. Most applicants were from Asia, continuing the trend of strong interest from that region.
DC1 was the most popular position among candidates, as evidenced by the number of first preferences. However, DC12 had the largest total number of applicants, indicating widespread interest across all preference levels.

Following the selection process, two applicants were recruited: one for DC1 and one for DC10. Two positions (DC4 and DC12) remain vacant, and applications will be accepted until October 19th.
The MATCH project continues to grow in reach and impact, attracting talented researchers from around the world. With two positions still open, the project invites final applications from motivated candidates eager to join a dynamic and interdisciplinary research network.
