We are pleased to share a new video in which our MATCH doctoral candidates (DCs) reflect on their participation in the recent MATCH meetings, hosted by Iscte—Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (Iscte‑IUL), in Lisbon. The video highlights their views on the academic and personal value of this key event within the MATCH programme.
During the meetings, MATCH DCs presented their research, exchanged ideas with peers and supervisors, and took part in lively discussions. These interactions were essential for receiving feedback, refining research directions, and increasing confidence in communicating their work to a diverse audience.
The DCs also underline the value of the MATCH meetings as a forum for networking and community building. Beyond the formal sessions, informal exchanges helped to build ties within the cohort and contributed to a friendly and collaborative research environment.
In the video, MATCH doctoral candidates reflect on how the meetings boosted their motivation, provided new insights on their research, and reinforced the benefits of being part of an international and cross‑institutional doctoral network like MATCH.
