MATCH training objectives are supported by four pillars:

Pillar AIndividual Research Plans (IRPs): These research plans comprise the central core of the MATCH training process. The IRP details the research area and development activities foreseen for each DC, including the training objectives and the expected outcomes.

Pillar BLocal Training: The MATCH academic institutions offer individual training through postgraduate courses that meet recognized international quality standards. Each DC enrolled in a PhD programme can access multiple postgraduate courses aligned with their training needs.

Pillar CSecondment activities: The secondments programme of MATCH aims at providing complementary and specialized training to DCs.

Pillar DNetwork-Wide Training Events: DCs will receive training in a range of skills, including soft and transferable skills, aimed at strengthening their Career Development Plans.
